Kevin will give an illustrated talk on Amazing Ancient Avebury, the world’s largest stone circle and henge, only 20 miles from Stonehenge. Learn about Avebury’s stone circles, avenues, long barrows and alignments. Discover Silbury Hill, the largest man-made hill in Europe. What was it used for? And just what are the secret faces in the stones all about? All will be revealed. Kevin has been visiting stone circles and studying them for over ten years.

He teaches ‘Earth Mysteries’ at Blackpool and the Fylde College.

Taught by one of the first teachers to bring Tai Chi out of China, Rob has been teaching Tai Chi for 33 years, and visits schools, colleges and the private sector.

Working on internal energies, the benefits are spiritual balance, health balance and energy balance, and the evening will include some audience participation.

Spirituality versus Religion

Phil Reeves from Cleveleys will speak about the origins of established religions, the control mechanisms of such religious bodies and why people all over the world, with some notable exceptions, are beginning to question the ‘authority’ of the major religious teachings. Phil speaks from his own spiritual experiences and aims to offer food for thought and to perhaps suggest alternative ways to look at life within this world and within the spiritual realms.

Amnesty International

Glyn Eatock represents Amnesty International, an organisation made up of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Their purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Amnesty also ‘defends the defenders’ supporting brave individuals who put themselves at risk by standing up for human rights in countries where the authorities would rather they didn’t.
